Canada East beat Czechia White, finish fifth

At first, it was a closely contested match, but the Czechia White's lack of discipline caused the Canadian victory in the fifth-place battle. After the first period, the Canadians were up by two goals, with the Czechs still fighting bravely, keeping themselves alive. However, the second period completely shifted the momentum as the Czechs couldn't stay out of the penalty box, with Canada capitalizing twice. The three-goal difference proved unreachable for the Czechs, who ultimately killed their chances with two game-misconduct penalties in the dying minutes. Canada East won 7-2 and finished fifth in the final standings.

COACHES´ REACTIONS

Sean Price (CAE): "When it comes to executing the power-play game, we performed exceptionally well. I would rate our performance as a 9.5 out of 10. It was a fantastic display. We strive for perfection, and today we achieved it."

Michal Edl (CZW): "The power plays were crucial. We were at a disadvantage because Canada has immense quality. Although we managed to get back into the game, the opponent's strength was greater. We didn't play as well as we did in the group stage. Our legs weren't as strong, and it was evident that the championship has been a long journey for the boys."
