Czechia Red convincingly defeated Switzerland U16, win Group B

Czech Red picked up another win and secured first place in Group B of the U16 tournament, remaining unbeaten. Ever since the first period, it was clear how the game was about to unfold. Matouš Pospíšil opened the scoring as he swooped in between the circles and beat the goalie with a laser-accurate shot. Hometown hero Marek Šťástka shone the brightest on the Czech side, scoring a hat-trick. The Czechs went on to grab a decisive victory, beating the Swiss 11-1.

Vít Čapek (CZE): "The result was actually determined in the first period, where we won 5-0. It's difficult to motivate the players to play actively after that, so in the second period, we were playing situations rather than creating many chances and scoring fewer goals. The third period improved a bit, but I have to say that the fourth line was the best on the ice today, and the victory is important for us. It's another step towards what we want to achieve."
