COACHES´ REACTIONS

Jiří Mašík (CZE): „I think we played a fantastic match. We don't want to overestimate it, as there is always room for improvement, but I believe today the team showed immense strength. It was already evident yesterday with the Americans, and today we just confirmed it. Ball hockey had to entertain the audience, as we scored seven beautiful goals. The guys play with great enthusiasm, but most importantly, I have to say that everyone works for the team. They cover for each other, if someone makes a mistake, two players will immediately pull back. In fact, we were outperforming the Canadians until the end of the game. We were coming back, cutting them off, and these are incredibly important aspects that I personally greatly appreciate. Even in this situation, we didn't let up, and everyone worked hard. For me, it was a truly excellent performance that we will aim to build upon.“

Dave Weloy (CAN): "Unfortunatelly, the schedule had us play this morning at 9 am. They got to rest all day so it’s kinda sad to talk for us. The guys were tired, we did our best and we tried hard. I’d like to play them on a day when we are both fresh. That’s what I’d like to see."
