Mitchell led the way with six points in Canada East win over Switzerland U16

Canada started off strong scoring astonishing seven goals in the first period shocking the Swiss U16 squad, which scored just once during the first period. The pace slowed down after the intermission as only two goals were scored, one apiece. In the final part of the game, Canada East showed no mercy and struck four more times. In total, three different Canadians lighted up the goal light twice, and in particular, Landon Mitchell led by example with his stellar six-point performance, notching two goals and four assists.

Vasco Rodriguez Soares (SUI): ¨It is a failure. We did not play a good game from our perspective. Seven goals in our net in the first part of the game is just way too much and not normal. The team did not do what we were working on in trainings. The second part of the game was good from our side, exactly how we need to play.¨

Sean Price (CAE): ¨I think the boys were well prepared for the game and put up great fight against Switzerland. We played good positioning game, covered well man in our zone and we got a lots of balls on the net like we are supposed too.¨
