Great comeback! Czechia U20 erased USA lead and take three points

The highlight of today's day could be summarized as the evening duel between the United States and the Czech Republic. The pre-match expectations were fulfilled to the dot. The Czech team had to turn around an unfavorable score from the beginning of the first period. The national team completed the comeback in the intense second period and secured a valuable victory with two goals in the final period. Karel Manhart (CZE): It was excellent, I am very satisfied. We were losing 0:2, but I know what this team is capable of. I knew we would turn it around. Today, our power plays worked out well, and then we managed to hold on. I think we delivered a very good performance. We executed what we had trained for in the game today. We were active on the puck, and the Americans didn't stand a chance at the end. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I really enjoyed it.

William Brasko (USA): We played really well with an even number of players, but we received eight two-minute penalties, and as a result, we actually conceded all the goals while being shorthanded. However, we need to play much better in front of our own goal, and everyone needs to fulfill their role. In the second period, we were nearly always in disadvantage, which probably made the difference.
