Federal derby for Slovaks as they beat Czechia Blue

Czechia Blue and Slovakia have also played their first games of the U14 tournament. In the federal derby, it was the Slovaks who emerged victorious, as they never allowed the opponents to take the lead. Slovakia opened the scoring sheet in the very first minute thanks to Šimon Sisík and continued to extend it. The Czechs fought bravely, though, and twice reduced the deficit to just one goal. However, the equalizer they hoped for never came, and Slovakia U14 won 4-2.

Assistant Coach of Czechia Blue: ¨It took us a while to get into the game, so it was definitely a hard start for us. The scoresheet suits the game well. The silver lining is that we just did not give up after the rough start and made it one goal game. We played much better in the second half and I would say, it was close in that period. ¨

head Coach of Slovakia: ¨Only positives things for us. It was our second game against this czech team, first time being a pre-tournament game. I think we played very well, I am satisfied with the performance of our squad. Obviously there were some mistakes, but they were not a big ones.¨
